The Waltham Police Patrolman’s Union along with the Waltham Police Superior Officer’s Union held an informational picket prior to the Mayor’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Waltham officers have been without a contract in over four years. The fire department received an award from arbitration and now the Mayor is trying to force the police into arbitration. It appears that she wants to hide behind an arbitrator’s decision, instead of collectively bargaining a fair agreement with public safety employees.
