It has come to our attention that several first responders from the Seattle area have been exposed to people diagnosed with COVID-19 and have subsequently been quarantined in their homes. We are encouraging all MassCOP members to refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s p age regarding COVID-19. This page provides answers to frequently asked questions.

For additional information on protecting yourself, travel recommendations, and the most up-to-date situation reports, please visit the World Health Organization’s p age dedicated to COVID-19.

As of March 4, 2020, COVID-19 has been declared deadlier than the flu. Some things that you can do to protect yourself and others are:

  • Wash hands frequently; Practice food safety;
  • Avoid travel to heavily impacted areas;
  • Contact your primary care physician if you are showing any symptoms; and Refer to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization websites for updated protocol.
